Zaaps1
I ask a few of my friends the same question a bit back. They all said no. I'm pretty sure I've seen a screenie of a named cat though, so I'm not sure. ~It's Super Effective! tripsis
You cannot name your regular cats. But upon completing the Rat Catchers quest, you unlock the ability to have Lazy and Wiley cats. - 99 fletching | 99 thieving | 99 construction | 99 herblore | 99 smithing | 99 woodcutting - - 99 runecrafting - 99 prayer - 125 combat - 95 farming - - Blog - DeviantART - Book Reviews & Blog

Tsar
You can name your wily or lazy cats, I don't know if the same applies with regular cats after completion of Rat Catchers. Anyway, you can have a 8 letter name for your kitty. However, other players can't see your cats name (at least I remember it so; it would be nice to get a confirmation from someone who knows exactly).
