Hey i need to start DT to go dusties.. i got all quests.. but do i also need 53 thieving for the begginning?

I didn't know that you had to start desert treasure to kill dusties...If i can recall right desert treasure came out before slayer..

yes, but all you need to do is start the quest and do up to the mirrors if you want to. dt may have come out before slayer, but they put dust devils in the smoke dungeon. good luck

Items needed: 12 Magic logs, 6 Steel bars, 6 Molten glass, 1 heap of Ashes, 1 Bones, 1 Charcoal, 1 Blood rune [all of these may be noted], 650gp, Teleport runes to Lumby, or charged Amulet of glory, or Ring of dueling will shorten the time when you head in and out of the desert. Whenever you head to the desert bring Waterskins. This goes for EVERY time you head in there.

 

 

 

1- Go to the quest start point in Bedabin camp, west part of the desert. Speak to the Archaeologist there. Learn that he thinks there's great treasure in the desert. He asks you to deliver an etched note to a colleague of his.

 

 

 

2- This Colleague can be found in the examining hall in the south part of the Digsite area. Speak to the Archaeology expert and he will translate it for you. Go back to Bedabin camp.

 

 

 

3- Now speak to the Archaeologist again and agree to split any possible loot 50-50 between the two of you.

 

 

 

4- BEFORE DOING THE NEXT PART: Remove all Zamorak and Saradomin clothing, or every single person in the bar might attack you! Head south to the bandit camp and talk to the bartender. Buy a beer for 650 gp, then talk to him again. Bring up the subject about diamonds, then talk to Eblis in the east side of the camp. Eblis tells you that he can craft some scrying glasses to help you find the diamonds. He needs 12 Magic logs, 6 Steel bars, 6 Molten glass, 1 heap of Ashes, 1 Bones, 1 piece of Charcoal and 1 Blood rune. Collect these items, give them to him (use them on him, as items or as notes), and then talk to him again.

 

 

 

5- South and east of the camp on a small hill is Eblis, surrounded by six mirrors. Look into each of them to find the locations related to the diamonds. Four of them are true and two are false.

 

 

 

You only have to do up to here.

 

 

 

So no, you don't need 53 thieving
