Dr_Locust
So this sceptre that you can get from Pyramid Plunder... What's the strategy for getting one? Don't even bother opening the coffins & chests in lower leveled rooms? Or make your way through the rooms always opening every chests/coffins? (That just usually leads to me running out of time to plunder the higher leveled rooms). For those of you who found the sceptre: How long did it take? Which room did you find it in? Any help or advice would be appreciated. :P Dr Locust <-- Click for my blog...+2000 Total, PhD in Questing, Woodcutting, Agility, Thieving, and Firemaking
Tim
well it took me a few hours (though i died after  ) and your best bet is to check every coffin/chests in the rooms, dont bother with snake jars and keep progressing. in the furthest room you can get to then you can check the snake jars after you check coffin/chest incase you stumble upon the sceptre plus for some exp. dont forget your anti-poison :P ITEMS: ddp++ anti poison food (lobbies will do) 2 or so lockpicks for opening doors faster lightweight armor in case you get....a visitor from the coffin. :-s Popoto.~<
Mamong
Dark Aura pretty much nailed it on the head. In the first few levels, just pick the chests and coffins. Depending on the amount of time left, you can thieve everything in the last room (and in the last few rooms if you have heaps of time) Remember, it is just luck, good luck getting the sceptre! gun_hippy
Agreed with what has been said, aside from two points. You can do the urns in the last TWO rooms fully once you get the rhythm down. In the room(s) you check the urns in, do the chest/sarcophagus LAST, not much point having mummies or scarab swarms attacking you the whole time you thief when you could have just done it at the end. Krypt0n91
Do what the two posters above do, but what i tend to bring is the book that cures poison from great brain robbery quest and wear a holy symbol. I don't use the sceptre anyway, i use the contact quest bank and bring about 10 lobs with symbol, book and dds and get quite a few "runs" done before i have to bank, only 62 thief though so i cant go that far but i manage to get round every jar in the 61 theif room. mujtaba
i don't know if this is the best strategy or not but i use this as someone lvl 99 thieving told me about this and it works well. do chests in all the rooms and try to get to the second highest room you can enter as fast as possible and then go to the highest room and thieve the urns and chest and sarcophagus and when you a little under half the time left and finish up there. this way you will definately get the max exp and have a good chance of getting the staff.
