August 31, 200718 yr 85 Mining & 99 Smithing or.... 99 Strength and 70 Range? It depends on what you mean when you write "Better" The Mining & Smithing is goal is much, much harder but can earn you some money. The Strength & Range goal is easier and allows you to earn some nice loot. Hope this helps

September 1, 200718 yr strength is definitely easier, but is fairly common now a days courtesy of pc. i dont express different respect lvls to those who pced their stats versus those who trained them, its just jagex made it too easy. i would say go for 99 smithing. it is far more admirable because it costs a lot of money unlike strength which is virtually free if you get your own things. also, smithing is a money making skill. one more point, how many smithing capes have you ever seen? i have seen probably less than 5, the number of strength? hundreds... both are useful though. good luck
September 1, 200718 yr I'm always more impressed by a person with 99 smithing than a person with 99 strength. But that's just me. 99 smithing, being able to smith full rune...man, that's just awesome to me! September 1, 200718 yr Author Thank you, I will probably go for 85 Mining and train my Pure to at least 80 Strength and 70 Range at the same time. After those are done I will train my Smithing. The Reason I chose the Mining first is because I will be able to mine my own Iron and Coal pretty fast right? And I'll be able to mine my own Rune Ore. I did some calculations and if I did Smithing first I wouldn't be able to mine my own Rune ore so I would have to buy it. If I were to make Rune 2Handers (Around 50K Each) I would lose about 22K on the ore right? (Not sure if it needs 3 bars, if it does it's 33K I lost.) 50 - 33 = 17K!, 50 - 22 = 28K So I will only get 17K Profit lol or 28K Profit. I would mine my own coal but still, that's not a lot of profit is it? For F2P I mean. So... I'll go with mining first, maybe smithing next, and finally my Pure. I'm not sure.
