Sir Amik Varse portion of rfd ( you just have to have access to evil chicken's lair, not completed)

 

Required Skills:

 

65 range

 

55 agility ( at least, higher is better)

 

Required Items:Combat Gear, Dramen staff, Rope and mithril grapples, knife, pick-ax (will lose), Raw chicken ( a couple of em)coins (10k should do, bring 260k if you want the EROk/Q)

 

 

 

Start Point: Farmer Fred's house.

 

Talk to Farmer Fred. He will say that he needs a rooster to get more chickens as all his are being stolen. After arguing whether it would be easier to just get more chickens, he sends you off to find a rooster. Now, go to burthorpe.

 

 

 

Talk to Tenzing (sherpa dude) and ask him about his rooster. He will say its not for sale, and then you ask him where to get one. He says he got it "on the mountain."

 

 

 

Go over to the man who makes your boots [bleep]ed. Ask him about climbing gear. He will take a rope, pick-ax, knife and 1 grapple. then he will give you a bag called climbing gear.

 

 

 

Go back to Tenzing's house, and tell him you need boots that will help yuou climb vertically up a mountain. He will giv you a pair of red climbing boots.

 

 

 

Go as if you were going to troll stronghold, but instead keep going until you see a transportation symbol. Use your climbing gear on the rocks and your character will climb up to the rocks. Use a grapple on the rock you just climbed up for easier access in the future. Now keep doing the past couple sentences until you end up by a cave.

 

 

 

Go in, and talk to the only talkable rooster. Ask him about chickens disappearing and getting a rooster. he will say that his brother, EROD/D(evil rooster of death and destruction) is searching for his soul mate among the chickens of the world. He will gloat about him, The EROK/Q (evil rooster of knowledge and quests) does not need a soul-mate.

 

 

 

Ask him where his brother is now and he will say something about a chicken's lair. Go to Zanaris, then to the evil chicken's lair. you will see a cutscene, then fight the EROD/D and the evil chicen at once. The evil chicken uses mage and the EROD/D uses melee. The EROK/Q will also join you and uses range. Defeat them and they will both teleport.Grab teh chickens off the ground (they are in cages) and go back to Farmer Fred.

 

 

 

He will say that both the cages and his chickens are damaged. Go to varrock, and talk to horvik and the apothecary. They will each take 2500 gold to fix the cages and chickens.

 

 

 

Back to Farmer Fred's house. Talk to him, and give him the chickens. He will eat them and turn into the EROD/D. He now uses melee and range, but the range attack is pretty weak compared to his melee attack. Defeat him and take the key.

 

 

 

Open the cupboard and Farmer Fred will thank you.

 

 

 

Rewards:

 

30k gp

 

20,000 range exp

 

20,000 agility exp

 

the chance to use the EROK/Q

 

 

 

Note:

 

After the quest, talk to the EROK/Q in Farmer Fred's house about not having enough inventory space during quests. He will offer to help you for a measly price of 250k. If you accept, then he will be as an item in your inventory. Use up to 5 quest items/rewards to make him store them.

Sigh...it should be at least 10-20k. I mean 3gp, and you have to have all these requirements? It makes no sense, and the gp reward would be a complete waste of effort. The EXP awards are great, though.
