September 7, 200718 yr I really want to raise all of the free stats to at least level 50. My current stats are as is: Attack-25 Strength-34 Defense-25 The fastest Melee training usually comes from hitting lower level monsters. So, try the first level of the SoS. The idea is to be hitting constantly. You don't need high level monsters for fast training, you need a constant supply of lowbies. Ranged-1 Try the minotaurs in the SoS. You can find a safe spot to use. Pick up your arrows. Also, they drop a lot of arrows. Prayer-2 Prayer is very hard to raise in F2P. You can bury all of the bones of the monsters that you kill but it will still be hard to raise. You can go to a spot that has a lot of bone respawns and just bury them. The rat room near the entrance of the Edgeville dungeon has a lot. Also, you can wear only 3 items and visit one of the bone respawn places in the wildy. There is one in the SE part and then the big boneyard north of it. It actually has 3 or so big bones respawns. If you wear only 3 items then you can die to PKers and not lose any gear. Magic-25 Failed Curse always gives 29 magic exp per cast. Fire strike averages only about 18 per cast. Cost is about the same per cast. So, wear your worst magic attack gear and go and Curse from the key room in the Varrock sewers across the water at the 4 zombies in the ladder room. That's a 100% safe spot. Runecrafting-19 Another hard one to raise in F2P. Body runes give the most exp per trip and you can use the Barbarian fence shortcut to speed up the trip from Edgeville. Plus you need them anyway for failed Cursing. Fire runes are the next best per trip but the trip is kinda long. Air on world 16 are always popular. Crafting-3 Another slow one. In F2P it comes down to Clay bowls, Cow hides, and Tiaras. For clay items you can use the official Jagex world map to flash kiln locations. Make your stuff. Eventually, gather hides from killing cows near the lumby cow pen and then bank them. Later, use Al-Kharid to tan them and then make items will walking to the bank. Hitpoints-31 That will go up with any damage that you do on a monster. Mining-42 Power mining Iron is the fastest way to raise mining. But eventually, you will want to bank ore to make some cash. The 3 Iron rocks in Al-Kharid are good for power mining. Varrock SE is popular for banking iron. You could try Lumby swamp SW and bank in Draynor for coal. Smithing-35 Another slow one. Just iron has a 50% chance of making an iron bar. Iron with 2 coal will make steel. Steel bars sell for 550 or so. So you can make decent money selling those. Otherwise, smithing steel give 55 exp per 1 Iron and 2 coal smelted/smithed. Fishing-1 Start with shrimp and work your way up to trout. Use the Tip It guide to fish locations. You can buy some raw supplies in the Port Sarim fish shop. When you can do trout, just fly fish at the Barbarian river. If you want to save what catch then bank in Edgeville. Eventually, you may want to do lobster for healing food but not for fast exp. ('Course if you are killing low level monsters then you won't need much food ;) ) Cooking-11 Cook the fish that you catch. Don't bother with any other food. Cooking will rise faster than fishing so it's almost a free skill. You can cook raw fish next to the bank if you have a supply of raw fish and logs banked. Otherwise, just cut down a tree near your fishing spot, burn it, cook the fish, and then drop them. Firemaking-27 Woodcutting-39 Another pair of skills that go together. Cut and burn. Use the best axe that you can but don't bother cutting higher than willow if you only want the exp. Cut Yew when you want to make some cash. Fire starting will rise faster then wood cutting so you could consider selling the logs in the Rimmington or Lumby general store. If you time your burning right, then you don't even need to bend over to light the logs. In F2P, Prayer and Runecrafting are very, very hard to raise. Crafting and Smithing are just hard to raise. Most of the other skills just require time. Money making skills include mining (iron and above), fishng (lobsters), and woodcutting (yew). Finally, realize that Jagex has designed RS skills to be timesinks. They did that because RS, IMHO, doesn't really have enough non-skill content to keep players busy. If you get bored then remember that RS is not the only online game that you can play. GW is free after you buy the CD and even EQ has a totally free version. Hope this helps
