Abelmisi
I know it's a small thing to make a topic out of, but I think actually using this would be handy. There are many threads in the OT discussing various subjects where the topic creator starts off with a link, and tells everybody to comment on it. I've seen some people posting that they won't click the given address due to the possible chance of spyware and such. What I'd suggest is to make a rule that when a link is given in the first post, there should also be a quote containing the article so people who are more uptight about security measures don't have to click on random links. What do you think?
mchainmail
I think it is a good idea to require both the article quoted as well as the link (as a citation). Clicking links in general is a bad idea, especially because the poster may have good intentions but send people to a bad site.
jemathonical
I thought that was what you were supposed to do anyway. But making it a rule would enforce it more. ^Sir Jem 05-The Bunny Drinking Blog?^ Click it!
