New cats are 100gp from Gertrude. To pick your own cat and colour, just use the 'Charm' option while wearing the Ring of Charos (e). To be able to do this, you cannot already have a kitten. You can still have either an overgrown cat or just a cat and get a new kitten, but you can't have 2 kittens. Hope that helps. If you don't have a Ring of Charos (e), you can still pick your kitten's color if you are willing to spend some money. Buy a kitten from Gertrude for 100 gp and if it isn't the color you want, shoo it away and buy a new one. If this one is the color you want..you have a kitten in your desired color for 200 gp. If not..rinse and repeat until you get the kitten of choice. I have a friend who spent 1,200 gp this way to get an orange kitten (because it looked like her real life cat).
