I'm wondering what armour i should get. I will be training at PC and monkey chapel so def doesn't matter.

 

 

 

My current outfit is

 

Warrior helm

 

glory

 

obby cape

 

rune pl8

 

zammy book

 

rune legs

 

rune boots

 

black gloves

 

and recoil

 

 

 

I will be using a whip and my budget is 3m.

Get barrows gloves, not that hard to beat RFD, so much better than black gloves. The legs are kind of useless though, no attack bonuses. That penance top would be a nice addition though for more attack, and if not wear priest robes and use attack/strength boosting prayers (at monkey chapel) for an extra punch.

I'd recommend using prayer boosting armor such as monk robes, initiate or prosylite (I don't know the spelling, don't have it) armor. Also it'd be great if you were to get a Fighter Torso for a strength bonus, and you can either use a warrior helm or berserker helm. You could switch the helms and then buy a warrior ring (450-500k) instead of a recoil ring. And then as Deathlord said, you should try some more of RFD at least, like Addy or Rune Gloves at the least, the higher up, the better bonuses.

Should i get dragon boots?

 

Do they give a better bonus than rune or do they just help def?

They give a stronger def bonus and also +4 str rather than +2. I'm not sure how much stronger in def they are than rune, but they are stronger. I'd say they're worth the money if you don't mind spending 700k or so.

 

 

 

Good choice on everything so far.

Fighter torso gives a good strength bonus. Also, you certainly need to go get a rune defender. +20 slash attack and +5 strength!
