Since you mainly focusing on experience for cooking and fishing exp I prefer salmon and trout for they are the fastest way for experience...(Well atleast I'm pretty sure they are) But if you want to make a profit as well you could try lobster fishing at catherby or monk fishing at Pistoris place...

By three methods we may learn wisdom: First, by reflection, which is noblest;

Second, by imitation, which is easiest; and third by experience, which is the bitterest.

The order of experience (in my opinion anyways) is:

Barbarian Fishing (Cut up the fish, hardly any cooking experience)

Shilo Fly Fishing (Loads of cooking experience when you finish)

Monkfish (very good experience, very good cooking experience, great food too)

Lobsters (pretty good experience, I find it slower than monkfish)

I hate fly fishing, so usually use barbarian fishing or monkfishing.
