yaff2 Posted September 18, 2007 Share Posted September 18, 2007 well, R3 has Challenged me to a battle Rules: - No scanlines. - Render or Stock - No Animations. - Scatter brushing HAS to be involved - No specific style - MUST have your name in it somewhere - Subtext is optional Thats the rules we will have 2 judges judging this... For example, if I made a Halo sig, and you made a...erm..Digimon sig, people are more likely to vote for the Digimon one, due to them knowing the topic more well. hardwick246 Posted September 20, 2007 Share Posted September 20, 2007 We have come to a conclusion and the winner is.... R3 Yaff was way off as you see in the pic. The arrows showing the direction of the flow. But atleast Yaff has put depth in it by darkening the left hand side. I'll have to go with R3. I expected more than this from these two, but I was wrong. The render blending is average. They used the colors from the render and matched them with the background. No feathering or any other type of blending. Yaff messed up by putting the render over the border. I saw where R3 was going with his signature, but he missed the flow in it. Yaff has a growing intensity effect on the background which gave it some flow. Both of them could've done better with the text. Yaff put a pixelated font too big. The other one complimented the signature nicely yet he had the opportunity to put his name in the direction of the guitar. R3 had a good idea with the "Tom Morellow" text, but the "RATM" make things worse. I am going to have to choose R3's, but just over a few things. It is close to me. I saw more potential out of these two. Congrats and good battle. That's all folks.... and have a good day/night. Need help or advise? Have a question?
