LCD Screen

a reflective screen gives better, sharper colors, so movies and pictures and things tend to look better on them, but matte or low gloss screens work better in direct sunlight, because less light is reflected off the screen, which means less glare.

I will say having a nicly glosed (reflective) screen really does wonders for your movies. This laptop is super glossed and it's got the best picture i've ever seen from a monitor. Of course the only way I could ever hope to use it outside during the day would be to boost the monitor power untill it was set someplace between 'sunburn' and 'vaporize' but I never use computers outside so I don't mind. Plus it doubles as a mirror when the screens off

It really comes down to personal preferance.
