September 22, 200718 yr 1. My iPod won't play some songs that have been imported to my computer from other computers, when those songs have been imported from cd's. How can i make my ipod play the entirity of these songs, such as Prison Song, Needles, and Under Pressure? 2. While downloading a video for my iPod, my computer froze and i had to restart it. When i got the download back, it finished smoothly, but when played on the iPod, it restarts the iPod at the point where the restart was, and i have to use speed fast-forward to get by. Very Annoying. Thanks for reading all lol... any help?
September 22, 200718 yr 2. Is it with this one video? Have you tried any other videos and have they worked fine? That one video may be corrupt, try re-downloading it.
September 23, 200718 yr Author my friend also recommended it was corrupt. I have another video i got for free also off of iTunes, and it works fine (no freezing and rebooting my comp this time) How would i redownload my video? Do you mean as in resyncing it with my ipod or onto the actual computer. The videos are "Zoolander" and "Demitri Martin: Best of Comedy Central Stand Up"
September 23, 200718 yr Your problem with CD's may be because of the CDDB codes that are used when you rip CD's. Is it happening with just that one CD, or more than one? Try updating your firmwire and see if that works too.
September 23, 200718 yr Author Its not the CD, its some songs on the cd. For instance, Needles only plays 1 second, and Prison Song ends with 49 second left. It also happens with under pressure, when the rest of Queen' album works fine. WHat is a firmwire?
September 23, 200718 yr Yeah, i'm pretty sure what's happened is when your friend has ripped the CD, it's got the data of the CD off CDDB (CD Database) but it's got the wrong data - thus, the track start and end points are everywhere. Same thing happened to me before, try finding another copy of the CD or re-ripping it and choosing a different CDDB code (though im not sure how you do that.) It usually happens because of special editions, bonus tracks, demo versions, etc. as opposed to the normal, fully commercial version of the CD. It gets the data for the CD but not for the bonus/rearranged tracks so it all goes spare.
