i heard that opal (e) are good, is that true?

 

 

 

i don't really want to spend loads on bolts should dont say the expensive ones

mithril+ for sure or you'll never hit them. at 84 range it take an age for me to kill them. the best bolts to use are diamond tipped addy bolts, although they are a bit costly. emerald tipped mith are the ones i usually use as the poison damage adds up.

I actually got lucky, and found about 1300 Sapphire (e) bolts on the ground, which are basically sapphire tipped mith bolts. They worked nicely, even though the effect doesn't work on NPC's. I'm not sure how well just mith bolts would work, but I see people using them from time to time.

I would advise starting out with enchanted emerald bolts, as the poison will cut down kill time a great deal.
