How do you guys feel about...

Using photos for sigs.....for example mine. I did not take the picture, but found it on a google search. Plently of other people use pics like these in their sigs, but I wanted to see how other people felt about it......thinking maybe it's ripping? Just wanting some opinions. But I thought it was an awesome picture, and I'm all about simplicity in my sigs.

Thanks

The only problem i have with taking sigs from google is that you know somebody else has that same pic somewhere else... aka its not original or w/e...

Its not considered ripping until you put your name on it imo.

Can't see your siggy, but Photos are totally cool.

Sometimes, I prefer just cropping a pretty google photo as my sig.

As long as you don't take credit, it's fine. :D

its considered ripping. images on google are not stock images. stock images are images which poeple have allowed you to use for anything you want. deviantart has a section for stock images and there are plenty of sites for them aswell.

the only way you could use an image from google search is if you ask the author for permission even if it is a photo.
