i made it using Elvy's Guide to Pixel Art!

For a first attempt, pretty cool. Keep trying and take your time. Do more shading in all the areas including the arms, etc etc.

*Thumbs up* looks quite good for your first try. it needs quite a bit more shading and you need to create a hand , maybe you should make the background pixel aswell? Oh, and can i ask did you zoom in and do that? or did you just do the linework freehand and colour/floodfill the rest? The face looks quite cool , but the hair is pretty wierd.

eh... hand holding sword is wrong he has no fingers. and is that hair or a coif?
