Crystal Bow

Iv read pages which say you cant stop a crystal bow from degrading, but you have to buy 2 of them to begin with. My question is, if you do this, will the crystal bow last forever? or is it the other bow that is degrading or something perhaps like it?

you can, theoretically, make one bow last forever.

 

 

 

You will not save a penny of cash on recharges, you're still paying for every shot.

 

 

 

The reason thisworks, is the coutner is on your acc not on your bow. Essentially, your account has a counter "after 250 shots, degrade the bow he's holding".

 

 

 

So if you have two bows, one 10/10 and one 5/10. Shoot 249 shots with your 10/10. The shoot one shot with your 5/10, your 5/10 will become a 4/10, and you can switch back to your 10/10 for another 249 shots.

 

 

 

So the advantage is that you can keep 10/10 for ever one of the 2500 shots, you don't save money or anything. This is cool because the stats of 1/10 and 10/10 are DRASTICALLY different.

Ahh kk, i think i might just not bother with a crystal bow then. There really is no point of them in my view. Crossbows hit higher, you can equip a shield or unholy book, and e.g. rune crossbow has +91 range bonus

they were best bows before c bows boost and dark bows, butn ow all they good for is fight caves tbh :/

And I am stuck with 5 of them. I don't think they are best for fight caves either though. I got to wave 58 with them....

If you can't get anywhere with a Crystal Bow, I highly doubt you'll do any better with a rune crossbow.

 

 

 

Crystal Bows are useful when you get them down to 180k/repair. If you train Ranged on a decent moneymaker (Fire Giants, Blue Dragons, etc.) you can make a lot of profit using Crystal Bow, especially because it comes with its own arrows. It is also the #1 way to beat Jad.

 

 

 

Rune Crossbow is slower and uses ammo, making it undesirable for profit-making while training. This is useful for pk-ing and overall Ranging, but it's either slow and cheap or fast and expensive.
