I have norton internet secuiity right now, its outdated and im wondering what a good firewall would be. alot of my friends say black ice. which one woul du use?

It is all a matter of opinion. I myself use the firewall that is bundled with McAffe, but a highly respected one would be zone alarm.

The pay-for ones are usually best. Norton and Mcafee are well known.

I like ZoneAlarm personally. Free + has all the good features I look for in a firewall.

SysGate is also a good one which I used for a little while. Although I changed back to ZoneAlarm for the traffic indicator (i love that little thing in the taksbar. :P).

If you are willing to pay i suggest Norton, but if you want a freebie, go with Zone Alarm.

Use to use zonealarm but it went crazy one day blocking everything :?

mm.. ive used the zonealarm pro and every 5 minutes it would block my internet conenciton and id have to restart, and i had trouble permuniitally blocking a programs internet access

oh and price doesnt really matter to me :P
