It always works. You must be doing something wrong. Once I equiped a steel platebody instead of a iron one, and nothing happened. Check your equipment again.

Inside the stone wall that is around the altar. If you're unsure of what wall I'm talking about, just stand next to the altar and shrug.

Maybe [bleep]ey vams?

you may wear only rune legs, iron body and blue vambs, nothing else.

 

then go to the temple, shrug, kill the double agent, shrug again and talk to uri.

Make sure it is the exact items without variation. It cannot be [bleep]ed vamps. I did that one and I did it right in front of altar so I could pray when I fought him.

Trimmed legs wont work if your wearing them
