Slot 1 heatsink - where can i get one?

Featured Replies

Hi,

I need a new heatsink for a slot 1 processor, does anyone know where I can get hold of one on England or Edinburgh?

Have you checked the sticky of computer supplier companies?

You say slot 1 but exactly what processor is it and what is your price range?

And try ebay too.

Well I tried all the suggested sites in the sticky. They all seem a little bit too sophisticated for my needs, and are all for socket processors, not slot 1.

The processor I need it for is a PentiumII 266 the old one got a bit melted by the processor when the fan seized up. Any slot 1 heatsink will do as they will all support processors of 266 and above.

I don't want a secondhand item, that's why Ebay isn't tried. I looked they all appear to be secondhand on there.

It would possibly be cheaper to just buy another CPU off ebay, which includes the heatsink.

he's right.... fans for the PII are rare nowadays.... u can buy a new cpu cheaper, or maybe ur better off with a cheap mobo and an AMD sempron....
