November 11, 200718 yr They're not that bad every once in a while, but your right. A pun-a-quest is overkill.
November 11, 200718 yr I agree, Jagex does get carried away with the puns at times and only a few are funny. I think they should make things more serious, I mean, burying someone isn't a laughing matter, in the case of The Hand In The Sand. November 11, 200718 yr Author look up evil spirit in the tipiit beastiry :-X ahahaha k that was actually funny :P clever puns (like that) = sweet bad puns (i want vine and a half, need a hand, my arm is here to help, etc) = bad
November 12, 200718 yr 1 of the biggest reasons why I quit RS was the lack of real, interesting content (such as quests). Instead of making quests have a deep and intriguing storyline like in Diablo, they chose to cater to 11 year old's with 'Save-the-cat'-esque quests and half witty puns like the ones in the original poster's images.. The programmer's have fun in the office laughing at these puns for a few minutes, but they should realize they're creating a RPG played by tons of people online, not their personal 'humor project'. (I wouldn't even mind if the puns were *actually* funny with lasting humor value) Some quests in RS classic were quite interesting though, and not childish at all :) (Not sure if I'd want to replay them on RS2)
November 12, 200718 yr This isn't big brain academy don't take it so seriously. That, unfortunetely, does have its bad puns. :( I think Jagex maybe need to broaden the homourous side of the game. I can't remember what quest it's in, but there's cutscene where it talks about the average life span of a Falador Guard only being about 10 seconds or something like that, and then some player comes along and kills them. That was funny. Or when they comment on the actual behaviour of players in-game. I've seen a few tongue-in-cheek jokes. I want a bit more satire. The puns get very old, very fast. :-$ "300 programmers make their futile but glorious last stand against 1000000 angry players in The battle of Misthalin. They fight for honor, glory and new content sacrificing themselves so that their game may live on. This is Madness! This Is JAGEEEX!"
November 13, 200718 yr They do seem lame now. I'd rather Jagex put just 1 good joke every few quests then a bunch of these. Although it doesn't really matter than much for me. ~It's Super Effective!
