Gilformen
heres where i am, im currently 85 combat with 81 range and 73 magic, basically quit melee training. i had been planning to get 99 range, i have enough arrows to get to 90. im currently f2p and dont play as much because of school. range training in f2p is insanely slow, even at lessers. i also like magic, and was wondering, if i sold my green h'ween mask, would that fund the bulk of the cost for 99 magic alching yew longs and such all the way? i got the mask because i love masks, but im paranoid about wearing it, so i just stash it in my bank, personally, i'd rather have 99 magic than the mask. thoughts? 32,606th to 99 magic || 15,388th to 99 dungeoneering || 12,647th to 99 farming14,792nd to 99 range || 24,954th to 99 herblore
Lord Diddy
im currently f2p ...alching yew longs and such all the way? Kind of a contradiction there. In f2p I find that range is superior because f2p spells end at 59. Even though it may be hard, range in f2p is better, but if you just want a 99, get magic. If F2p - Mage If Members - Range
decebal
Did you just say that you are f2p and you will alch yew longs!? That's impossible to do in f2p. Though try elching something else... like steel plates and rune meds. You might even make a profit!
Gilformen
>_> ok, let me clarify, ive been a member for six months previously, i have 70 fletching, 55 agility, etc. and a 1399 total. if i was going to get 99 magic i'd get members again and merch and alch to 99. 32,606th to 99 magic || 15,388th to 99 dungeoneering || 12,647th to 99 farming14,792nd to 99 range || 24,954th to 99 herblore

NOW I understand you. Yes good plan, though mems and f2p have about the same alching speed (actually, its the same), but since you will get yew longs faster than steel plates and rune meds usually, then your good to become mem. Ranged would be a good idea too. Though for it you need to surely become mem to go up fast. So for now, magic. For mems, ranged.
The_Kuniva
Here's a bit of math for you: You need approx 185000 alchs from 73 magic to get 99 Assuming you buy nats and Yew longs at the current market price: 185000 Nats @ 290ea = 53650000 185000 Yew longs @ 650ea = 120250000 In total the Cost is 173.9mil Each alch gives 768gp; 185000 * 768 = 142080000 Making the net loss 31.82mil Of course this is buying yew longs at a premium, your best bet would be to look at something else to alch.. green bodies sell for around 4.5k ea and alch for 4.68k, bringing the net loss down to 20mil
