Errdoth
So I just changed the password on my old yahoo acct (only use it for answers, not a big fan of most other yahoo stuff), and it sent the confirmation email to my gmail account. Here is the weird part. At the bottom of the email, there is an ip address thing, so, wondering what it goes to, I click on it, and it took me to a linksys router login page, so I put in the default login stuff, and it took me to a router config page. This isn't my router, mine is a netgear, but then who's is it, and how come I can access it over the internet? The ip it gave is 72.129.0.6 [hide] [/hide] I dunno... Chris
Probably your external IP address? Go to google and type in "what is my ip?" then click on the first link and that page will tell you what it is. If it matches, yes it is. If it doesn't match, I suggest you don't touch anything. :P Notoriously Trollish.
Hitman247m
I think that is meant to show you which IP adress changed the yahoo pass
Errdoth
Yeah, it is my ip, so that makes more sense now, but why would there be a linksys config thing? The wireless card I have in my laptop is a d-link, and the main router is a netgear? Last.fm Signature Overlays
Cruiser
Could you possibly have a Linksys modem? A bit of a long shot since you said it was a router setup page. If you do it may be giving you access because it realizes you're accessing it from within your LAN. Rather weird though. :? (I tried loading it from here at school, no connection, so either you have a dynamic IP that changed since, or it isn't publicly accessible)
