Since I'm 81 herblore it has eben a while since I have had herbs too high level for me. My question is, could my friend who does not have a high level herblore use an herb on a vial to make an unfinished potion even though he is not high enough to make the actual potion? He would then trade the unfinished pot to me so i could finish it, saving a lot of time.

no you have to have that herblore lvl 2 start the potion and i dont think u can trade them.....

Hmm maybe you are right but I think you have to have the level to clean the dirty herb to put it into a vial.

You're wrong about this point. They changed it such that you now require the herblore level to stuff the herbs into the vials.

Summary:

 

You require the proper Herblore level to clean the dirty herb.

 

You require the proper Herblore level to put the herb into the w-f vial.

 

You can trade unfinished potions to other players.
