November 12, 200718 yr Well, I'm not too sure about this one.. The characters(Tiger and Rabbit) were made in paint and I added some effects with paint.NET. What do you people think? Is there anything I can do to make it better? The background seems a little plain too me, but I'm not sure what to add.. New version- Any better? Here be dragons ^ Dragon of the Day
November 12, 200718 yr The Tiger looks great, but the rabbit has a humongous head (which also seems to be turned in a direction that looks unrealistic), but otherwise looks it fine... but the black background seems almost lazily slapped on. I have no idea what to put there, but there's got to be something filling that gigantic void :| . I'd say three things would have to be changed to make this look better: 1) The back legs of the rabbit need to be switched; the right leg should be behind the left leg. Currently, with the direction the rabbit is running, having the left leg dangling in the back looks unnatural. 2) Shrink dat bunnies head o_O. 3) Something, anything, needs to be put into that black area. Maybe a little highlighting around the rabbit (like you have with the tiger), maybe something to flesh out the scenery a little.. anything. That's all I've got to say. Overall it looks pretty good, especially that tiger, just needs a few touchups to give it a sense of wholeness : . November 12, 200718 yr The direction of the lightsource looks wrong. The back leg has the light coming from the left while the rest of the body has light coming from the viewer. The back leg is also an entirely lighter shade then the rest, and I think that's what really sets it off... the butt looks like it's popping out or ahead of the rest of it.
November 13, 200718 yr nice. the tiger looks better in the 1st, and the rabbit looks better in the 2nd. for the back ground, maby add a stream/grass... {DeviantART}{Last.Fm}{Join Sublime GFX, great community for artists!}Back to RuneScape, Again.Avatar by Brian The Great
November 13, 200718 yr The text on the first one is better, I think. The tiger is great in both, but the rabbit still needs work. The second one is better, but you still need to fix the legs. It looks like all you did to switch the right and left legs was redraw the back area to make them appear switched, which makes the entire butt area look freakishly twisted. The right leg should be longer and bigger than the left, as it is nearer to the viewer. Simple perspective. Just fix up those legs and put the original text back on and it should look great :) .
