Even before the stock/shop update, you could buy a lot of newt eyes (with hopping) from the shop, but people buy them because of the walk. Not sure of current demand though. Before the update it was hard to empty shops, the price is solely based on the time used having to walk back and forth. A man who doesn't read, is no smarter than a man who can't read. Just use the balloon to entrana, buy your stuff, use a duelling ring to castelwars and repeat.
