Eh?

I'm guessing the "spirit" is a tree spirit that appears as one of the woodcutting random events? If it's a random event tree spirit, just run away and it'll eventually disappear.

Edit:

Oops! I misunderstood your question. When you said "Lost City" you meant the quest? Whenever you're killing a quest monster, especially those that are "summoned" into the play area, they will eventually become bored and disappear if you take too long to kill them. I just recommend you try killing the spirit quicker by training up your combats skills.

Since you can't bring weapons with you but you can bring skilling materials, here's what you can try:

Melee -- bring a silver bar and sickle mold to make a silver sickle. This is a terrible weapon so I *don't* recommend this method.

Range -- bring all the materials you need to make full leather armor and your best bow. You can bring ready made arrows instead of arrow heads and shafts. There's a safe-spot behind some rocks that you can use to kill the spirit.

Magic -- bring the runes for your most powerful spell since you can't bring an elemental staff with you for auto-casting. Use the safe-spot I briefly mentioned in "range".

Good luck

I undersstand the pain. THe demon from the Grand Tree quest dissapeared when I fought it. Hell I was mad!

Try to kill it faster indeed. So it don't get bored and wants to drink coffee.

Yep...same thing happened to me because I tried to range it and was only about 20 range at the time, so it took too long, got bored and disappeared...went back and maged it, and killed it no problem.
