#1. How do you get it? Obtained as a drop from Commander Zilyana in the Saradomin Encampment of the God Wars Dungeon.

 

 

 

#2. What is its special? This weapon's special attack consists of a normal attack as well as 5-15 points of extra magic damage. However the special attack is not guaranteed to hit.

How does it compare to a whip for overall damage in P2P combat (I don't care about how it trains strength) This is currently the fastest 2 Hander, sharing the same speed as Abyssal Whip and Dragon Scimitar. It also shares the same Slash and Strength as the Abyssal Whip. So I'd say that you will get less damage with it, since you can't wield a defender with it to add to your str and att bonuses

No, the sword is slower and has a better str + att bonus. Whip + rune defender gives 101 slash attack and 87 str, SGS 132 slash and strength. This makes the godsword a very good high level monster killer (bosses, KQ, barrows, etc.). Only "normal" monsters (regular slayer tasks) they're about the same.

He means the Saradomin sword, not Saradomin Godsword.
