It is a very useful skill especially if you want to grow your own herbs for herblore. It is a long process, so I have just used Tears of Guthix to level me up and save seeds and money.

Farming is far from boring, or useless. It does not take a long time to level up, not at all. Condition being, it takes about the same time to go from 5-6 as it does to go from 40-41. You do not need many tools, although there are two tools I recomend. Magic secateurs, and a nature ammy. Magic secatuers are gained from FTp2, and you will want to buy a nature ammy for around 50k. The secateurs get you 10% more harvest. An esential, if you're farming 40+. A nature ammy, when used on a patch, will alert you when the plant is diseased, grown, or dead. It is mainly used as a supplement to herblore, as a moneymaker. As for the easiest method to train it? Tell me how much money you will spend on it, how much time you have, and how that time is distributed, and what quests/skills you have.

Farming is the only skill I enjoy. There are 'slow' and 'fast' ways, just like every skill. Other then the basic items you can get at any of the garden stores for like 50 gp, no. The uses for farming depends on your position. This can be herbs for the herbloreist. Private trees for the lumberjack. Alternate food for the chef. And ultimately, a very fun skill.

 

 

 

The easiest way to get to level 50 is to go about it your own way, the way that will work best for YOU. Just plant some seeds and let time play its course .

It will seem slow and boring when you begin, but so do many other skills!

 

The main problem is getting the low level seeds that you can plant on your allotments. Steal them from master farmers or the seed stall as soon as you can, and save them all in the beginning.

 

 

 

Plant all alotment patches, bushes, herbs and hops you can until you get the ability to plant trees. Trees, and herbs are the only way I have levelled since around the level 35 mark, and it takes around 30 minutes to do a farming round, netting anywhere from 20-50k xp in the process dependant on the seeds I have sown the night before.

 

 

 

So itÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s a fast skill requiring minimal effort once you getover the hurdle of low level seeds/alotments.

I used to hate farming and only level it with tears of guthix. but once you get to a certain level its easy to raise the skill with tress and herbs. If u have several million gp use kingdom management mini-game. You lose 75k a day but u get tree seeds and logs and whatever u select in return.
