December 1, 200718 yr I don't know about you, but a lot of the recent bands (i'd say post 90s) have NO talent whatsoever. It's all computers. You hear them on CD's and they sound great, then when u r there live they sound like your old aunt June strangling her cat. Eg. My Chemical Romnac, The Veronicas, just to name two. what ever happened to the bands with great voices and instrumental prowess, like Guns N Roses, ACDC, Blink 182, Oasis, Nirvana etc.? 38% of Tip.Iters put stupid made up statistics in their sigs. If you are one of the 62% that don't, put this in your sig.
December 1, 200718 yr :shame: MCR put on a great show live and are better because of the atmosphere. Yes technology helps but a live show is where they make or break like my chemical romance was a make situation because they don't just go out and sing they put on a stage show and do a good set. And computers? I'm no fan of MCR nor the Veronicas, but from what I've heard not much of it is really computers. Computers applies more so to electronic music and those who hide their lack of talent behind repetitive beats and clicks (no, I am by no means referring to all electronic music with this statement). Could you give anymore relevant examples to support your argument, with specific details of songs that lack instrumental prowess and instead rely on computers? And since when is instrumental prowess required to make a great song? I can appreciate a solo and some kickass licks, but I'd rather here a uniquely structured song with just chords and riffs rather than 10 minutes of pretentious, cheesy and decadent solos for the sake of showing off.
December 1, 200718 yr If you care so much then just listen to them only a CD or something, who cares where it came from as long as it sounds good... If you don;t like them live, don;t see them live, simple as that? Doomy edit: I like sheep
