is there anyway to get rid of the icons on the saved bookmark tabs just below the address bar? ive searched online but all i can find is just using the default icons.

In about:config, type icon in the filer box, and then set browser.chrome.favicons to False, and browser.chrome.site_icons to False, and then restart =)
