May 5, 200521 yr Hi hi all :D Anyone happen to be from Brisbane .. I am going to be there next week for about 5 days and am wondering what I should see, where to eat, where to party :D, where to shop, where to get my hair done, etc. Would appreciate any information you all can share :)
May 6, 200521 yr I'm from Brisbane. In Australia. I know there's a Brisbane south of San Francisco which where I assume you're going :P In which case, I can't help you :P But if it's the Australian one (doubtfull) go to the Gold Coast ;)

May 6, 200521 yr M'kay then. To make it simple: Party One place: Surfers Paradise. A lot of night clubs. Although the lockout is now at 3am instead of 5am :x You could probably find some random street party where 300 people have crashed a private party.. but you need to have a mobile and get sms'd about it to find them :P There's a few decent clubs in the actual City (Brisbane) but for the most Surfers best them, hands down. And it's the 3am lock there aswell (yay for throwing MORE drunk people in the streets, stupid government). Umm.. that's about it really. So if you aren't 18, your only chance are the street parties, or just getting trashed in your own home :P Shoping Queen Street Mall is your best bet (in Brisbane). Next few places would be: Pacific Fair, down Burleigh Heads ways. Australia Fair, near southport. Guess that's all. There's more 'high-end' places you could waste your money but meh. I'll leave that for you to decide on :P If you feel like hitting some of our, rather [cabbage] IMO, themeparks you got: Sea World Movie World Wet 'n' Wild You can get a 3 park super pass with those... Then there is Dreamworld (owns all 3 IMO :P) which has a bit of everything from the other 3. Depends where you're staying aswell. There's some nice places up on the Sunshine coast, but can be akward to get to if you're not in a tour / know your way around ther area :-? Cliffs: Depending on where you're staying in relation to the CBD will determine the best options on what to do :P Let me know where you'll be staying (suburb / hotel) and I can help you out more :)
May 6, 200521 yr Author bah .. I just lost my freaking post. Thanks for the information Rick :) We are staying in Brisbane for 4 nights at a hotel on Queens Street. Are there any good local bars with live music .. alternative rock? I am also looking for somewhere to take my guys for chicken wings and beer one night. We will try to make it down to Surfer's Paradise for one night of fun :D I have heard great things bout Queens Street for shopping .. also heard there were some hair salons on there too? Maybe you have sisters you could ask .. my hair desparately needs some work :lol: I also need to find somewhere to get a tattoo. Don't plan on doing any of the theme parks .. is it warm enough during the day to lay by the pool? And how cold is it at night?

And you could most likely pick up chicken wings and beer at almost any cafe.
