December 26, 200718 yr I just got a new widescreen monitor for christmas, and it streches runescape really strangely. my inventory is a square now, my bank is a very long rectangle, and i look really fat :( this also happens to picture backgrounds. is there any way to fix this? December 26, 200718 yr You need to adjust your screen resolution to fit the new screen. Right click on the desktop and go to 'Properties'. Go to the settings tab and adjust the screen resolution to fit the screen. You should be able to look up the monitor model on the manufacturer's website to find the native resolution (the best fit for that screen) to use in the settings.
December 26, 200718 yr Generally the resolution should be 1450x900 (IIRC) or 1650x1050, depending on the size of the monitor. It may be 1920x(something) if its a very large monitor.

I've tried all the diffent resolutions and 1440x900 is the only one that dosnt strech pictures and runescape. is there any other way i can make the runescape screen bigger without making it widescreen? Unless you change to a smaller resolution, which in-turn will make the rest of your PC looks like [wagon]. I'd just keep it at 1440x900.

Visually it looks smaller because of the larger screen, but if the proper resolution is used (the native res for that monitor) it'll be the exact same size as on your old screen. :P
