I mean does it just freeze, does it not show anything, does it give you an error message... does it just play very slow? It doesn't run smoothly in anything at all. Ok. In that case, honestly, the problem is just that your PC is outdated. Trying to view something takes up a bit of power -- and running XP on a 1.1ghz Pentium III and 512 megs of ram isn't going to help. Hell, I would personally recommend a gig of ram minimum -- however I don't know if it'd help with your low processor speed. I don't know if anything short of an upgrade will really help. For a PC with low specs like that I think it'd help a lot. Your major problem is that xp is hogging most of the resources that could be used to run the videos.
