First, for Photoshop CS2.

How do i cut out the white/black from the image.. for so that it will look *SOMETHING* like this.(with the white space below gone..so that its transparent..i know its something with deleting and somehow causes the grey/white squares the appear. but dunno how)

i used to be able to use the MAGIC WAND TOOL to select the areas with same color den press delete to remove it. Now all that happens is that area turns BLACK.

then for GIMP...

Normally, when I open GIMP, 3 Windows Open. GIMP, GIMP Tip, and a third one(layers/opacity window). But now, when I open, only GIMP and Tips Open. the 3rd doesn't. Does anyone know whats wrong?

I dont know anything about Photoshop, but as for the GIMP problem; you probaly closed the 3rd window and it doesnt appear again, until you make it.

My GIMP isnt in english, so I cant guide you through making the window again. Sorry :(

EDIT: Try http://www.gimptalk.com . They usually have all you need.

Ill try guiding you through it.

Go to files (not sure about english version), press windows (not sure about english version) and take the top one. Pick one of the three and you got it.

Now go to files (not sure about english version) and click settings (not sure about english version), a new window will pop up. Click the 2nd last one (right above folders (not sure about english version)). Press the save "window placements now" (not sure about english version) and it'll be there next time you start GIMP.

For transparencies you need to save it as a .GIF or a .PNG (Not sure if PNG transparencies worth with internet explorer, however).

Just make sure the background isn't white but the little checkered boxes that indicate there is nothing there.
