It will auto offer to d/l the correct java and install it for you if u dont already have. Then just use the default option. Personally ive never managed to get sound to work even though i use high detail, but as i understand it the sound is nothing to write home about so ive never bothered with much past casual fiddling to try and get it working for me. I am not familiar with mac's but I do know there is something you can buy\download that will give you the ability to do so, and yes you can play RS on a mac ...
