January 7, 200818 yr Here we go..: Autoers supplied a large percentage of the raw materials used by real players. With this source of items gone, supply has dropped, but because relativly the same amount of people want to buy the materials, the demand has stayed the same. Ergo, prices have gone up as supply < demand. Although the prices of raw materials are rapidly growing, the prices on weapons, armor, and the like are still steadily decreasing because they were never autoed, and the same amount of people are buying them while more are flowing into the market every day. With anything that is gathered solely by real players, and if most of those players continue to play, the prices of the items will go down. Thats why items like whips and dark bows are where they are now, instead of where they started in the ten-millions. It isn't a new era, its just a period of economic unrest caused by the removal of the largest, hardest-working workforce in the game. There is no meaning or truth in life but that which we create for ourselves.
January 8, 200818 yr Author In Janurary 2nd Jagex has abolished unbalanced trades, we should all know that. Since then, the millions of goods in the economy were decreasing due to the absence of autoers. Players can only get so much (someone can't mine 50K ess in a week) and that brings the supply down and demand up, increasing prices. demand is not effected, only supply We've been predicting how the economy would work without autoers ever since they became in existance, now is the time to experience it. its not a hard prediction, supply goes down, demand remains unchanged, prices go up. While demands stays the same and supply goes down, the demand is still higher than the supply and thats kinda what I mean when I say demand increased. 50,000 Runecrafters want autoed ess, when the supply of ess goes down the Runecrafter's numbers still stay at 50,000 but they want more ess so in a way, the demand goes up. I probably can't explain it too good, but we're kinda in the same pace as each other. The time we are heading into can only be remotely compaired to pre-autoer days in RSC, but with a lot more factors: GE, hundreds of new items, more players, less PvP, more demand, bigger marketplace, and the thought that autoers will not collect anything for you. the addition of these factors does not change the fact that prices will raise due to decreased supply, they will however effect it independently. the magnitude of the shifts will decide if the price lowers. opening up the GE allowed thousands of players who would normally not bother with selling items to quickly sell without effort, increasing supply of these hard to sell items. this caused the short term effect to be a drastic price drop (items from autoers were still in the game, and more people were selling), however these autoed items will not last forever, and the initial surge of sellers will dry up causing an increase in prices over time. And thats what I'm trying to say. We might be seeing prices increase, but until how high? Will it break previous prices? Will people rely on gathering raw goods instead of alching or producing? You say auto'ers dont exhist anymore? Hardly. Theres still thoundands of people and kids out there that auto play runescape for their own personal IN-GAME wealth. The trade limitations just made it so these autoers couldnt be selling their "goods" for real world cash. Unless they have an army of a million autoers, they won't really affect the economy. Plus, their mains want the cash not lvl 3s, so they'll macro their main; which will be easily reported for a lvl 100 not responding and doing the exact movements over and over by the others. Waste of an account, and a waste of time. Here we go..: Autoers supplied a large percentage of the raw materials used by real players. I was explaining the new age because before we used to buy in mass, produce in mass, and sell in mass. With the mass possibly gone, we gain a lot less exp which is one of the points of the game. Rare weapons and armours (Barrows, dragon, Godsword) stay the same because they were never autoed I agree, but what about the food they use? Their prayer potions for Barrows, sharks for God dungeon? RuneScape 2.5 is going to change that in some way, perhaps not as big as I think but still a change noneoftheless.[/hide] "The cry of the poor is not always just, but if you never hear it you'll never know what justice is."
