Cannon Questions

So I'm most likely going to buy a cannon, since I'm picking up Slayer again, plus I've got cash to spare (for once). Just a few questions first...

1. What's the deal with it degrading?

2. Does range attack bonus affect the cannon power?

3. If I die with it set up or teleport away from it, what happens?

I plan on using it for Slayer tasks (Dagannoths, Kalphites, etc.) and some Ice Trolls with that TruthScape guide. Any other ways I might be able to profit from cannoning?

1. What's the deal with it degrading? After 400 shots, your cannon will decay. You'll get a warning in your chatbox about this, and can simply pick the cannon back up to restart the 400-shot count.

2. Does range attack bonus affect the cannon power? No.

3. If I die with it set up or teleport away from it, what happens? If you die with it set up, I believe you lose it. But I'm not positive on this, so you'll need a second opinion.

Answers in bold. Noob.

catch it now so you can like it before it went so mainstream

1. What's the deal with it degrading?

After 400 balls shot the cannon decays (if this happens you need to repair it at the Dwarf north of falador), but you can avoid this buy picking it up and reassembling it when a message warning you about it decaying comes up.

2. Does range attack bonus affect the cannon power?

No, cannon hits regardless of your bonus.

3. If I die with it set up or teleport away from it, what happens?

If it is set up it will stay there and if you teleport\die all you need to do is go back to the Dwarf north of falador (I forgot his name) and ask for it back. This does not mean you can just sell the parts then go back and get a new cannon.

I plan on using it for Slayer tasks (Dagannoths, Kalphites, etc.) and some Ice Trolls with that TruthScape guide. Any other ways I might be able to profit from cannoning?

Try to smith your own cannonballs, even though it takes a while to make, it is easy to multitask and should reduce the loss. Picking up all drops does help also, coin drops stack up.

Answered in bold. Also would like to say after a while the cost really does add up, so try to use it when the task is ideal for cannoning, and try to avoid using it in areas where different creatures are scattered around as it will waste balls shooting them.

1. I just pick up and replace down on the ground every 1000 cannon balls or so and my never degrades. Or you can just watch the chatbox, it tells you when its about to degrade.

2. Range level or bonus has no affect on cannon.

3. Profit? Uhhh you get alot of seeds at daggs, the truthscape guide you mentioned is probably the best cannon guide to wealth i've ever scene. Actcually its the only one.
