Socom

I've been playing Socom C.A. for since it came out, and have played Socom 3 and 2 its a great game but I feel its undiscovered It's been around longer that Halo and Call of Duty to my knowledge but no really knows about it. Thats probably because they advertise much but I've never meet someone who has played it and didn't like it. I'm more of an online player myself, my user name is annihilate_them if anyone wants to add me.

 

 

 

Does anyone play Socom and what do you think of it?

Socom 2 is hands down my favorite game all time. My friends and I have so many memories from late nights during the summers a few years ago that we still try and play once every few weeks together.

 

 

 

Unfortunately with the addition of vehicles and everything else that made Socom 3 Crap is what stopped me from buying combined assault. Socom 3 is the exact opposite game as the first two in this case, change wasn't a good thing.

 

 

 

As for the future, I did see the trailer for the new PS3 game and it appears to be an over the shoulder view like Gears of War. I'll pass on this game too.

This man speaks truth, I breathed Socom 2 forever. Also, it was my hands down favorite game all time, and probably the most fun Ive ever had. And when Socom 3 came out, I quit. It was garbage, if it takes 12 minutes to walk across the map, I want no part of it. Gameplay was much slower even with the added vehicles, and the huge scopes on the rifles didnt do it for me, at least in Socom 2, you had to be remotely skilled to hit me across the map with an M16.

 

 

 

Since Socom 3, I haven't picked up another Socom game.

Socom online was great but I never bought a sequel. No real reason why, possibly cause Socom 1 was enough!

 

Didn't enjoy the single player, bit hard for me *cough*

 

But multiplayer was amazing!

Just to clarify, Halo: Combat evolved came out a few months before SOCOM :anxious:

 

It looked like a great game but for some reason I never got round to buying it

I used to play 2 and 3 quite a bit.

 

 

 

I'd hate when I got sniped right as a match began and I'd have to sit out for like 5 minutes though.

If it was literally right as a match began, than that was a glitch and it has been fixed, but just play small maps :P
