Best Way to Obtain lvl 3 Clue Scrolls?

I have had a addiction with these clues. With my first being from blue dragons. I can't get enough of them with the adventure and having a watchful eye in the Wilderness and the total randomness of the reward with such diversity to getting 30k-50M is something that I can't pace by and not knowing that could be the one. It has drived me insane. Well I need to stop raving on and get to the point!

 

 

 

As the title says what is the best way to obtain lvl 3 Clue Srolls? And I do have requirements.

 

1) I DON"T want it not to be to tuff for me as I'm only lvl 75. lol. (64 attack, 63 strength, 55 defence, 61 magic, 50 range and 46 prayer)

 

2) Would be great if it had safe spots that you can ether range/mage/halberd. With mage best, halberd second and range 3rd.

 

3) Also maybe have it so I can actually make a profit, that is not including profit from clue.

Blue dragons or Ankou. Both have a decent droplist and give lv 3s fairly often.

 

 

 

Only melee the Ankou, though, there really aren't good safespots.

 

 

 

Just remember not to use a RoW.

Thank you for comment. Yes my sorce of Clue Scrolls are blue dragons and luck for me I have to kill 169 for my slayer task. Only 42 slayer. And I do get Ankous as a slayer task pretty often. Also I know Clue Srolls are complete random, but why not use a RoW does it really lesson the chance?

One option is to simply take slayer tasks, and do whatever monster your slayer master suggest. Many slayer monsters drop clues, the level of the clue depending on the monster. This method will give you variation, which in my opinion is necessary, personally I get bored easily. Good thing with this method is that you try different monsters out, and may find your personal favourite.

 

 

 

Jellys are the lowest level monster who drop clues, but you need level 52 slayer to kill them. Wear hides for magic defence, since they have a magic based melee attack.

 

 

 

If you have dont the quests to enter Lletya, you can kill the elves there. There is an altar, so you can use protection prayers.

 

 

 

Ankou at deepest level in stronghold of security drop a lot of runes in addition to level 3 clues.

 

 

 

If you feel brave, you can kill green dragons in the wildy, and you can sell the hides and bones for profit, or use them yourself. Beware of reverants.

 

 

 

Then of course you can range greater demons or blue dragons, if you have done the watchtower quest the cave under Ogre enclave is good for that.

 

 

 

Some people like hell hounds, but they only drop bones except for clues. Good ranging spots there though.

Get your slayer up to lvl 52 ...Jellys are a great source, and at 55 slayer Turoths drop ( for me anyway) at least 3 clues a task ...although they are not cheap and kind of slow to kill.

RoW increases the chances of a 'rare' (high gen. store value) drop, clues are among the lowest-value items in the game.

Jellys are the best that drop lv 3 clues, they are easy to kill and you get a clue not so hard :thumbsup:

Thank you again! I think I'll do slayer. As my luck with tasks is pretty good with clue scrolls and I do believe that Jellies are the best for clue scrolls, just wanted to know and that I have only 42 slayer and 52 slayer would take a while. There the lowest level monster with them and I hear they drop rune full helms quite often.
