Which Slayer Master?

Which slayer master do you think i should use? I'm new to p2p, so slayer is 1.

i would say go to chealdar in the lost city ( lost city quest required) if u cant do that just go to vanneka in draynor dungeon. if u go to lost city ur first couple of slayer tasks will get u 20+

Try Vannaka in the Edgeville dungeon, right next to the agility shortcut pipe to the Varrock sewer. He should be your speed. If not, you can always drop down a notch to Mazchna in Canifis.

 

 

 

Black Mask is your friend, if you have to 500k or so to spare. Remember it only helps buff your stats if you're fighting a monster matching your current mission. Plus you can't use it if you need other headgear equipped for any particular reason. It would be a very foolhardy slayer who takes Black Mask instead of Facemask against Dust Devils. You will run it out of its 10 charges charges within a day but that's not its biggest value to a dedicated slayer.

I'm 85 Combat, and I always go to Chaeldar (Zanaris/Fairy Lands) for my tasks. I found towards the beginning her tasks were easier, and they got harder as my slayer level increased. If you get something hard, such as dragons, you can always ask Turael (Burthorpe) for something easier. From what people told me when I was new, you'd be unlucky to get lots of hard tasks in a row.

I used to like Chaeldar's assignments but they've started to take on an unhealthy edge that sends me to Burthorpe a lot now. I admit it's a good chance to recharge all my Glories and pick up some more addy ore, but what the fun factor is up with the assignments?

 

 

 

Fun stuff I never get any more:

 

Zygomites? Fastest assignment ever in Zanaris

 

Blue Dragons? Great for crafting AND prayer

 

Dagannoths? Excellent seeds

 

Fire Giants? Rune stuff and half keys

 

Dust Devils? A chance for the elusive D-chain drop

 

etc.

Warped Tortoises

 

Warped Terrorbirds

 

Spiritual Warriors

 

Spiritual Rangers

 

Bronze Dragons

 

Kurasks

 

Inconvenient and poor drops on average. Bleah.

It probably has to do with your combat level & slayer level ......because I still get the fun stuff ...currently doing 156 fire giants.

Defenitely get a black mask; when you get tasks you can use it wiuth, it's like having some prayers on constantly. (trust me: the 15% bonusses are really good, for you it's the equivalent of about 9 extra att levels and 11extra str-levels)

 

 

 

 

 

Burthrope master gives real easy task, slow xp: he's only good for when you need to replace a way to hard task

 

 

 

vanaka @ edgevil: for me he tends to give more "brutal" creatures as task (melee style creatures and sometimes drags; often in big ammounts)

 

 

 

the canifis slayermaster is a bit similar to vanaka, but he also tends to give annoying tasks from time to time (like a few banshees; and he doesn't give so manny monsters per task, so slow xp)

 

 

 

zanaris: often gives you slayermonsters as task, and often the highest slaymonster you can acces (like if you're 75slay, you have a big chance of getting gargoyles as task :S )

 

 

 

Shilo (you need 100cb and 50 slay for this one): he gives a wider variaty from task, often metal dragons (mostly arround 50irons or 40ish steels), of other monsters he mostly gives tasks from over 100creatres (150ish bloodvelds, 143cockatrices, 190kalphites,...)
