I'm just asking, is there any possible way to make profit out of this skill or is it just a money drain that is purely for fun?

In the news post about balancing Summoning, Jagex claim that Summoning is profitable through the benifits you'd gain when using some of the Familiars. :|

 

 

 

...For example, if you summon a creature to fight alongside you, the increased rate at which you can collect monster drops as a result balances out against the initial cost of the pouch. Or if you summon a creature to carry items for you, the increased rate at which you can runecraft, or collect items gives you back as much money as the pouch cost..

 

 

 

Personally I don't really like that explanation on how it will make me money as it's too indirect to ever be measurable.

I would wait a week or so until most people have achieved a higher summoning level. After that, players will be satisfied with their level, and ready to experiment. We should have some uses before the second wave, hopefully.

Yeah, i've read what they said about profitability as well which is the main reason I made this thread to know specifics lol.

 

 

 

And another true point, I am waiting until I get P2P to start training summoning which wont be until after good training methods are discovered and confirmed.
