D. V. Devnull
I'm reasonably certain the fault is with your ISP. Some ISP's try to prevent their users from using a lot of bandwidth. Heck, I've been experiencing this recently because it seems my ISP (Verizon) is bent on making everyone upgrade to FIOS... (Even those with PCs that just can't handle FIOS.) They'll try to break my connection once every hour, and the only way I can counter this is to be playing something like RuneScape, chatting on a chat site, and/or streaming music or something like that. They've even killed my dad's mail downloads several times, much to my upset. :| So, call your ISP, get in their face, and make them quit breaking your link. [/thread...almost...] ~D. V. Makoto_the_Phoenix
It doesn't sound like anything is physically breaking on your level, in that case, it'd be like Devnull said; it's the fault of your ISP. If that is really the case, there's a good chance you could get a discount on your internet bill, provided you have proof. Their services are supposed to be available 99.9% of the time, and if they're [intentionally] breaking your connections, then they're violating their contract.
