Phil
It's bad programming on Jagex's part. This is a common problem. For sound I would suggest using the rs client and not Firefox. Also try searching next time, this has been asked and answered quite a lot of times.

Mercifull
I belive Hannibal also posted a quote by Andrew on the issue. Maybe they should replace the "New Topic" button to link somewhere else ;) Mercifull <3 Suzi "We don't want players to be able to buy their way to success in RuneScape. If we let players start doing this, it devalues RuneScape for others. We feel your status in real-life shouldn't affect your ability to be successful in RuneScape" Jagex 01/04/01 - 02/03/

Might be the soundcard, because I tried with just plugging headphones into the computer and it was still off =\ I just posted something! ^_^ to the terrorist...er... kirbybeam.
