Safari problem with Skill Calculators and Planners

Featured Replies

In case it hasn't been noticed before, the tables in both the skill planners and calculators don't display correctly when opened in Apple's Safari Browser (PC edition). This bug may not carry through to the Mac version, though i assume it would. Instead of the descriptive text in each row being displayed horizontally (so it reads left to right), it is displayed vertically, creating new rows as it goes so that each cell contains one character. This results in the table overextended and undefined cells being displayed.

I've had similar compatibility problems with Safari with my own sites, so if you figure out the problem, please post your solution.

Yes, we are aware that the Safari browser is incompatible with our calculator and planner displays.

We had a thread on this, but it was lost when the forums got reset. Sorry to report that I do not believe a solution was found.

it's a lot easier to get over yourself when you look at intelligence the same way you look at beauty, or height, or eye color: being smart is easy, but being good is hard ... being smart is handed to you, being good is handed to *nobody*.

What I've heard from the tech people is that something was changed in the newest version of safari's browser and that our site's code has been unchanged.

Sorry that the Safari people didn't get this fixed in their latest version.

People started posting about the problem a few months ago, so it may be possible that an older version of Safari might help?

I wish there was something we could do for you guys, but the problem is evidently in Safari. :(

I believe the issue has been identified and fixed, therefore locking.

A solution has been identified and modifications have been made to the draft versions. Unfortunately we have to wait until someone can manually upload them to the site. I wish I could say that it will be a matter of days, but I cannot.

Hopefully it will get done and you can enjoy our calcs from Safari again.
