I'm looking for a fairly safe multi-combat area... preferably one i don't have to pray in (i'm level 118 with 87 def/90 hp so this is achievable i'd like to think..)

They're not safe, but that dungeon was pretty much made for familiar combat.

The stronghold of player safety is multicombat, so you could try killing cockroach soldiers. They have nice drops.
