AS far as I know it's not possible. Then again does it require Internet Explore? It's a stand alone client I though? Please some one correct me if I'm wrong. *waits to be informed*

It uses a custom IE control. Thus, you'd need IE installed for it to work (well yeah, try deinstalling IE  but anyway...)

As to the Firefox client thing... it may be possible, but not without some programming :). I may try my hand at it when XULRunner (app that is currently under development on mozilla.org, and which is designed to run XUL applications like Firefox, Thunderbird, Sunbird/Calendar/Lightning, etc. etc.) is a bit more stable... Right now it tends to throw weird crashes, and there's still no official docs on how to make a packageable app for it...

:( Missed most of discover times on the science channel, but thanks for the help. I don't know anything about programming  I'll leave that to those who want to. No reason as to why I want this. Just thought it would be nice to rid IE for everything accept those few pages you just have to use IE for now and then. Thanks everyone. Ba repeating the Albert Einstein show...

It is possible to make a firefox client. However, it wouldn't be all that usefull as a stand alone executable, since you wouldn't be able to use profile specific extensions, such as adblock.

I have made a firefox client that is an extension(xpi). Once installed, Runescape Client becomes avaiable under the Tool menu. When launched, it opens a new window that doesn't have any menubar, location bar, nav buttons, etc. It's just a game window. However, since it's launched from within the firefox chrome, it allows you to keep profile specific options. After it opens you can just close the normal firefox window, unless you want to keep it open for normal browsing.

There is a way to straight launch the .xul file without having to load it as an extension, so you don't have to launch firefox at all to use it, but it loads slower, and it doesn't always seem to load the profiles correctly.

There was a poll on runescape.com recently about supporting other browsers. And according to some of Andrews posts on Sourceforge they are working on making Runescape more compatable in stuff other than IE.
