What's the fastest way to get my mining up? I'm only 71 now, but want to reach 85. I don't care to power mine because I loathe extra clicks. Surely there's a faster way than the coal mine.

Granite banking the 500g (or whatever the one thats is used as a second for summoning)

he's f2p and the method i use is buying a bunch of nats then minning mith ore and coal in the minning guild and super heating it

I've got probably 40k nats, but that method is as slow as Christmas! I don't care to get my smithing up right now. I never intended to smith rune, but now that I'm right there, I might as well. I always thought smithing was the way to make money. Now that I've bought my way into decent smithing, I realize that's nothing without a mining foundation. #-o

You could easily mine iron. This is well known, and you've probably tried it before. It really is the fastest way in free to play, just mine at falador and deposit the iron ore in the party room. You could also do this in a crowded world, that way you can take breaks when someone hosts a drop party.

 

 

 

Another way you've probably tried is mining in the wildy, not overly hard, just mine at the hobogoblins and drop all the ore. Just 3 item it with 2 pieces of armor and a pick, you'll last a long time with decent prayer. Then when you die, teleport to varrok, and use the 100 energy to get back there.

 

 

 

Alternatives would be banking at bounty hunter or recharging there, but i doubt you want to make ore runs.

Gold prices are up, I'd say go mine some gold.
