Welcome to TIF!

-normal robes are most commonly used, however accounts with 70+ defense typically use the two fist of guthix sets for a little more defense + bonuses.

what crater are you in and what is your defense level?

Thanks ::' !

I use normal robes training magic as in PVE.

I only have 54 defense right now and my combat level is 75. When originally asked this question, I was looking more for an answer that could be used in Clan Wars, which should clear up some confusion between this and Bounty Hunter.

I was looking into the statistics and I figured that Combat Robes offer a slight increase in a defense bonus than Druidic Robes, as well as the ability to create me runes. However, Druidic Robes seem to be more popular with the RuneScape community as the price is more expensive (both tokens and coins). The bind enhancement looked very pleasing, but I wanted to find a larger scope of influence.

Now that the confusion about minigames is resolved, which type of magic robes should I use in Clan Wars?

Okay, thanks, I'll go with Combat Robes \' .

Go with the combat robes with you have the time/money to get them. I have them on my F2P magic pure and I can easily see a difference. You will not regret owning them.

My relaxation method involves a bottle of lotion, beautiful women, and partial nudity. Yes I get massages.

Until FoG, the best F2P mage robe set was:

Wizard hat, Wizard robe top, with the bottom being a choice of monk robe (prayer bonus), leather chaps (harmless, small melee defence), or matching skirt to look like a robe set.

With FoG, 10 defence is needed for either type of robe. If you absolutely hate the mingame, then an uncharged robe bottom is still better than anything else for that position.

The safety gloves are about the best a pure mage can use, if defence (non-mage) is required, then the Fog gauntlets provide a bit of defence against everything else, for only a -1 to magic attack and defence.
