*added some lines for a crumbly tower type thing (looks like a well...might have to make it taller...) and a horizon

Its alright. The linework seems clean, but its way too plain.

The clothes need a bit more variation to them, like wrinkles, and the head could do with some more details too (it looks kinda small). His shoe looks a little square.

The background should also be a little bit lighter, its too hard to see the guy with such a dark ground behind him.

Anyways, its not bad for a start, I like the fire :) A little too unfinished to give a solid rating, but hopefully you'll touch up on what I mentioned above.

yeah i just started, im gonna add a lot more to the background, work into that tower, the colour of the ground + sky is prolly gonna change, they're just there for the sake of having a horizon.

I might add a load of wrecked buildings or something to it. or maybe like a mountainy background.

im gonna to work into the guy some more too. that shoe wasn't even meant to be a shoe in the first place, but it is now, and yeah, ill make it more shoe shaped :P . dunno what im gonna do to his head though.

*shaded the little tower type thing

Its going mad but lighten up the background since you can't really see his legs

nice shading. clothes look too clean though, make it somewhat waving so the guy looks more like he's floating. good job so far on the background. keep it up!

Became a noob soon after leaving Tutorial Island...

yeah id better lighten up the bg and put a load more detail into the guy.

i should give a shadow to show he's floating too...and thx for the feedback guys :)

The fire looks really good, but everything else is so plain. You need to give stuff a texture and not just color it in. A stone tower isn't going to have flat bricks that are one solid color.

yeah, i see what you mean, the surface doesn't really look worn, its just smooth.

wouldn't have picked up on that and fixed it if u hadnt said...thx :)

also still need ideas for what else to put inthe background...cant think of anything :|

like other said need more details on clothes... and since when horizon is so flat? it needs to me more wave or sumting (i did same mistakes in many my sigs until terley or ranshadow told me)

obviously, the horizon's only there to add some sort of perspective or whatever. gonna put in volcanoes or hills with houses or whatever later. hopefully. :D
